A terminal in Newark airport was being evacuated Saturday due to a suspicious item in a garbage can, law enforcement sources said.
The evacuation was at Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, the sources told NBC 4 New York.
The terminal was evacuated at about 5 p.m. on the first day of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
