An innocent bystander was shot while at a child’s party in Brooklyn, police say.
Officials say a 62-year-old woman was shot in the leg at the party on Coney Island Avenue in Kensington around 7:30 Sunday night, however, she was not the intended target.
She was taken to an area hospital, where she is in stable condition, according to authorities.
The gunman ran away from the scene, police said. No description was given.
It wasn't immediately clear why the gunfire rang out.
