Robber Stabs Man on Subway, Chucks Stuff Onto Tracks: NYPD


The NYPD is asking for the public's help finding a man accused of stabbing a subway passenger in the mouth with a pen, then throwing his belongings onto the tracks before running off with the victim's cellphone, police say. 

The suspect approached a passenger on the northbound 6 train and followed him on to the platform at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue at around 10 p.m. last Thursday, police said.

There, he stabbed the 36-year-old victim in the mouth with a pen before throwing the victim’s belongings on to the train tracks and fleeing with his cellphone.

The suspect is about 35 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds, according to police. He was last seen wearing a beige t-shirt and dark pants with his hair in a bun.

The victim was not hospitalized following the incident.
