Detectives are investigating after a 4-year-old girl was sexually assaulted inside her own home in Queens, police say.
The assault happened in the early morning hours Sunday in Rosedale, authorities said.
The suspect crawled through a second-floor window of the apartment, where the assault happened, officials said.
An investigation shows the suspect may have used a ladder to reach the window and get inside, police said.
No description of a suspect was made available. Police are urging anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
