A woman was shot in or outside a correctional facility in Queens Tuesday, authorities say.
Authorities say the woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital after the 7 a.m. shooting at the facility on Van Dam Street. She was listed in critical condition, but is expected to survive.
It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was in custody in connection with the shooting. Authorities didn't say if the woman was a correction officer.
