A PATH train was evacuated and service in and out the World Trade Center was suspended, law enforcement said.
A suspicious package is said to be the cause of the evacuation, sources say.
According to a tweet by the Port Authority, service has been suspended due to a police activity and passengers should avoid the station.
The train in question came from Newark.
K-9 dogs, trained to detect bombs, are on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
