Long Island Rail Road’s Port Jefferson branch service has resumed regular service after a person hit by a train east of Huntington Station prompted a suspension of more than two hours on the line between that station and Port Jefferson.
The service change was implemented around 5 a.m. Tuesday. Service was back by about 7:40 a.m.
The condition and name of the person hit were not immediately known.
