The body of a young woman washed ashore Coney Island Friday morning, authorities say.
The discovery happened near West 24th Street and Boardwalk around 8:19 a.m., according to police.
The cause of death has not been determined.
The identity of the woman, who according to police is about 20 years old, has not been revealed pending family notification.
