Cyclone Roller Coaster Evacuated After Losing Power

The famed Cyclone roller coaster on Coney Island lost power on Saturday, forcing riders to climb down, officials said.

The roller coaster lost power temporarily due to an electrical problem, according to Luna Park. The cars slowed down to a stop on the tracks.

Workers guided the riders off the tracks, according to Luna Park. Photos on social media showed people walking down the wooden tracks.

The power has been restored and the Cyclone was working again later Saturday, officials said.

The Cyclone had a similar problem in March 2015, when passengers also had to walk down the wooden structure by foot
