A man pulled a knife out on a PATH train after another man bumped into him, authorities said — in an incident that caused some commuters to run from the station.
A father, a mother and their young child got on the PATH train at the 23rd Street station in Chelsea around 1:46 p.m., a Port Authority spokesman said.
At some point, the father bumped into the man, and the man got angry and pulled out the knife, the spokesman said.
Passengers on the train held the doors open at the 33rd Street PATH station so the family could get off, and the man who pulled the knife was arrested by Port Authority police, according to the spokesman.
No one was injured during the incident, he said.
A video taken at the station shows commuters fleeing the station in a panic after the incident.
