Tornado warnings were issued for Dutchess County in New York and Fairfield County in Connecticut on Wednesday evening.
The tornado warnings were issued shortly after 7:15 p.m. and are in effect until 7:45 p.m.
The National Weather Service said severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado were passing over the area.
